ندين بأشد العبارات استمرار احتجاز صحفيي شبكة BAZ الإخبارية منذ 27 أغسطس 2023، والاستيلاء على مكتب ومعدات الوكالة في الحسكة، دون أي سبب أو سابق إنذار.
إن هذه الاعتقالات التعسفية والانتهاكات الجسيمة لحرية الصحافة، تأتي في وقت أعلنت فيه الإدارة الذاتية الكردية لشمال وشرق سوريا عن الإفراج عن الصحفيين، إلا أن ذلك لم يتم حتى الآن.
كما ندين صمت التحالف الدولي، المسؤول عن المنطقة والممول لها، على هذه الانتهاكات، إذ يكتفي بالتفرج عليها دون اتخاذ أي إجراء.
ونحن في شبكة BAZ الإخبارية، نناشد للمرة الخامسة، كافة قيادات الإدارة الذاتية وقسد والتحالف الدولي، بإطلاق سراح الصحفيين، والسماح بحرية التعبير، ووقف الانتهاكات بحق مكتبنا.
ونود أن نذكر أن هذه المرة الثانية التي يتم فيها مداهمة مكتبنا، بسبب قيام صحفيي الوكالة بأداء عملهم المهني، والتعبير عن آرائهم وحقهم الإعلامي.

We strongly condemn the continued detention of journalists from BAZ News Network since August 27, 2023, and the seizure of the network’s office and equipment in Hasaka, without any reason or prior notice.
These arbitrary arrests and serious violations of press freedom come at a time when the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has announced the release of journalists, but this has not yet been done.
We also condemn the silence of the international coalition, which is responsible for the region and its financier, for these violations, as it is content to stand by and watch them.
For the fifth time, we at BAZ News Network call on all leaders of the Autonomous Administration, the SDF, and the international coalition to release the journalists, allow freedom of expression, and stop the violations against our office.
We would like to remind you that this is the second time our office has been raided, due to the network’s journalists performing their professional duties and expressing their opinions and right to media.
