تدين شبكة BAZ الإخبارية بأشد العبارات استمرار احتجاز صحفييها، الأستاذ أحمد العجور والأستاذ مروان مجيد الشيخ عيسى، منذ 27 أغسطس 2023، من قبل قوات قسد دون أي سبب أو سابق إنذار. كما ندين الاستيلاء على مكتب ومعدات الوكالة في الحسكة ووضع نقطة عسكرية بداخله وتخريب أثاثه.
إن هذه الانتهاكات الجسيمة لحرية الصحافة تأتي في وقت أعلنت فيه الإدارة الذاتية لشمال وشرق سوريا عن حرية الصحافة والإعلام.
ندين أيضاً صمت التحالف الدولي، المسؤول عن المنطقة والممول لها، على هذه الانتهاكات، إذ يكتفي بالتفرج عليها دون اتخاذ أي إجراء.
ونحن في شبكة BAZ الإخبارية، نناشد للمرة العاشرة كافة قيادات الإدارة الذاتية وقسد والتحالف الدولي:
- إطلاق سراح الصحفيين فوراً.
- السماح بحرية التعبير.
- وقف الانتهاكات بحق مكتبنا.
نذكر أن هذه المرة الثانية التي يتم فيها مداهمة مكتبنا بسبب قيام صحفيي الوكالة بأداء عملهم المهني والتعبير عن آرائهم وحقهم الإعلامي.
نطالب أيضاً:
- بإعادة البناء والمعدات.
- بيان سبب الاعتقال ومكان احتجازهم.
- محاسبة من أمر باعتقالهم كونهم مرخصين أصولًا بمزاولة عملهم.

Continued Detention of BAZ Journalists: A Blatant Violation of Press Freedom
Date: January 7,2024
BAZ News Network strongly condemns the continued detention of its journalists, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ajour and Mr. Marwan Majeed Sheikh Issa, since August 27, 2023, without any reason or prior notice. We also condemn the seizure of the agency’s office and equipment in Al-Hasakah, the establishment of a military base inside it, and the destruction of its furniture.
These gross violations of press freedom come at a time when the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has declared freedom of press and media.
We also condemn the silence of the International Coalition, responsible for and funding the region, on these violations, as it stands by idly without taking any action.
We at BAZ News Network appeal for the tenth time to all leaders of the Autonomous Administration, SDF, and the International Coalition to:
- Release the journalists immediately.
- Allow freedom of expression.
- Stop the violations against our office.
We would like to point out that this is the second time our office has been raided, due to the agency’s journalists carrying out their professional work and expressing their opinions and media rights.
We also demand:
- The reconstruction of the office and the return of equipment.
- Disclosing the reason for the arrest and the place of detention.
- Holding accountable those who ordered their arrest, as they are duly licensed to practice their work.
